Virtuelles Lernen und Lehren ermöglicht Personen Zugang zu Wissen und neuen Erkenntnissen, die unter normalen Umständen keinen hätten. So können mehr Personen mit weniger Kosten an Aus- und Weiterbildung teilnehmen. Wie die mit virtuellem Lernen und Lehren verbundenen Prozesse aussehen und wie diese mit konventioneller Ausbildung unter einen Hut gebracht werden kann, untersucht das Projekt VIRQUAL.
